Semester 2...

Well, its the start of the 2nd semester already, somehow, the holidays seem so short (its supposed to be), everything is just piling up; the only difference now is that the deadlines seem ever so close. With so many unfinished projects at hand, I am left with about 4 weeks to complete them all. That does it, I am going to just hang out in the library almost everyday; shutting myself out from all external activities; at least for the weekdays.

The results for the mid term examinations are not out yet, wonder what is taking them so long to grade those papers. Another mid term examination for Economics will be coming very soon; in fact, it is this coming saturday. Luckily for me, it will be in multiple choice format, but then again... it may not be so easy after all...

Been busy with a lot of stuff this holidays, wonder if I had really made full use of the time given to me... No time for regrets now, whats done is done. Now is the time to look to the challenges ahead and take them head on. I hope this applies for all of you too; the crunch time is now, now is the time to give it your all before the arrival of the much deserved december holidays.

Went to the asian civilisations museum last Wednesday to finish up my museum report. Found out that more than 90% of the visitors there, were from NUS; I think all of them are from the SE Asian Studies module... (All of them are like, frantically taking down notes as they ply through the aisles.) I had to drag my bag of bones to the NUS Cultural Centre for the COMPULSORY Gamelan Performance. The music was too loud, the dances were a bit repetitive, the hall was filled... with SE Asian Students... What more could you ask for? At least it didn't rain when its time to go home... That pretty much sums up my wednesday; what a day...

Looking back to the last 2.5 years, I feel that life couldn't be better; at least no more obeying of incessant orders from incompetent people... (Not implying that I am very competent... Its just that they are somewhat from the lower chambers of our society... Maybe you would think otherwise; who else will take up such jobs if they are competent enough? They are our heroes!... Yah RIGHT...)

Life is good, & I am loving every minute of it. Aren't you?

My New Phone...

Yeap, I have yet added another phone to my whole slew of mobile phones. This time, the phone is free, together with an additional 300 SMSes in my plan with Starhub. Well, 1 thing though, I am bound by yet another 2 years with Starhub (and I am pretty ok with that; the free incoming is like, soooooo tantalising...)

The Sony Ericsson K500i which costs $588 (without plan) is the amount that Starhub is willing to invest in keeping their customers with them for another 2 years. This price war thingy going on between the 3 telcos is really heating up. (Its doing us, consumers good though...) I received a letter in my mailbox on Tuesday concerning this "promotion", and without thinking twice, I went straight down to get my hands on the phone. Heehee, kinda rash eh... but then again, thinking that I am going to stay with Starhub anyway, I might just as well get the free phone... The phone includes 12mb of memory space, MP3/Video playing capabilities, a VGA camera that enables users to catch pictures and film footage, a 1.9 inch screen and 3D Java gaming capabilities. Looks very much like an entertainment device, which it really is meant to be. Its the scaled down version of the K700i, with the removal of Bluetooth, Radio and 41mb to 12mb. The only new thing they added was the 3D Java engine. Anyways, its free... and thats a good deal that I've got.

I just had my first mid term test yesterday and handed in my philosophy paper today. Well, I was in quite a daze this entire week, having to rush out my paper and of course, study for the ICM test. The test turned out fine, although I had some difficulties in handling one of the questions out of a total of 6. Mid Term break starts officially as on today! Will be trying to get my ropes together in the following week. Got lots of studying to do... Sometimes, I really envy my brother; nothing to do except play and enjoy himself everyday... Then again, I could do with a bit of enrichment in my life... To all those people out there who will be having their mid term tests soon, good luck! I am going to enjoy myself, for a quarter of a day at least... gotta break loose from this vicious cycle of studying, eating, sleeping. Take care people!

Truly Philosophical Dude...

Philo paper due soon... must force myself to finish it... must stay awake... must not play... must not watch TV... must prepare for upcoming tests...

Hai... Thats the kind of lifestyle I am having since last Wednesday, the only window of escape from this box was my weekends. I had to go for my singing lessons on Saturday and my martial arts lesson on Sunday. Well, that pretty much sums up my life; at least for now. The problem here is that I am actually enjoying it! Work, work, work... Its been a long time, almost like a decade since I worked like this; the last time being 2 1/2 years back when I was preparing for the A Levels. (Even then, I don't remember myself working so much...)

Saturday was great, got to meet up with my friends, namely Zhiyou, Paul and the club members! Jasmine's performance at Suntec (Which only consists of 1 song...) added the last refining touch to my otherwise, hectic day. Wondeful, absolutely wonderful, I am glad that the club is now in capable hands. At least it is moving and expanding; unlike 1 year ago when we started it... The past is supposed to stay anyway, so, I am really glad that the club is moving on. We've all got to move on no matter what happens. Life always moves in one direction; and that is forward. We cannot expect time to turn back, if we could, I would be really happy... REALLY, ya right... I am happy for everything that I am having now, my family, my friends, my current achievements, my home, my (you fill in the blank) _____...

Success, what exactly is success? Business? Relations? Political? Which one is most important to you? If I had to make a choice between the 3, I would choose relations; with relations, everything is possible. Cherish what you have every minute of your life; for you would not know what is going to disappear the next minute.

Colorful, colorful Life

Its a beautiful world that we live in, it becomes grey only if we choose to.

Thats right, it all depends on your outlook to life, you colour your own day. The paintbrush and colour palette are in your hands, it is up to you to colour your life. Friends all hold their own brushes and palettes to help you colour your life.

I do and really cherish all the friends that I have made so far. Guang yuan, Allen, Paul, Fengyuan, Zhiyou, Weiwang, thank you all for being around when I am feeling down and dejected and of course, for sharing my happiness and your own happiness with each other!
There are many other friends too, which I have not mentioned, I would like to thank you all too, for sharing your colours with me in my everyday life! Life would be so dull without you people!

Black is not a colour to dislike; it embodies all the colours within its otherwise, dull exterior. "Judge not a person by his exterior, its the deep inside that really counts."
