~Happy Birthday to Me~

Haha, you're right! Its my birthday. Had the celebrations with some of my closer friends over at Coca Restaurant in Takashimaya yesterday evening. Its great to be able to spend my birthday with them and of course, my family members; an unforgetable experience. Thanks again to all who turned up yesterday and of course, for the wonderful presents!

21 is a sacred age we all call the "beginning of the path in one's life into adulthood." Althought I have no special feelings for the number, I will have to accept the fact that I am an adult now. I have a lot of wonderful friends at hand and I would like our friendships to remain as it is now; if not, better. A new phase in my life calls for a new goal; or should I say, a more resolute goal. My first priority now is of course, my studies [Not forgetting my friends of course :)], then as I have promised; I will devote most of my holiday breaks on trying to start a franchise for my parent's fruits business. Well, nothing beats making people happy; and of course, I will have to start with those that are nearest to me; my family and closer friends.

Really look forward to the December holidays; I hope many of you who have turned up last night will be able to make it for the "about to be planned and confirmed" trip to most probably, Taiwan.

Sony Vaio S18GP

Finally, I got my hands on this black demon, weighing in at only 1.89kg, its a joy to carry around. It boasts a 1.6Ghz Centrino Processor, b/g wireless options, 512Mb Ram, 32Mb ATI Radeon 9200 Graphics card and a DVD-RW drive. Its battery life is simply amazing, standing in at 5.5Hrs with on and off wireless usage. I did my entire project in the library yesterday without the need to plug in and I am still left with 1hr + of juice after everything. I am impressed with this baby... Below are a few images for your viewing.

I am loving it... Heeheee

Ever Been Thru' Hell?

Phew, at least the days of agony and pain are long gone now... Its been a arduous week for me, a week of torment, a week of suffering... I am glad that this ordeal is over and I hope never to face it again... at least for the time being...

The week (9/10 to 15/10) has been a very, very, very, very, very, very bad week... I was down with tonsilitis (A very, very, very, very bad form of sore throat; about the worst that you can get) and as a bonus gift, I was awarded with a week of ongoing high fever coupled with the incessant pain in my throat... I could not eat well, let alone sleep well... I could only watch the deadlines for my projects draw closer by the week hopelessly in my bed. It was really a period of hell for me; there were times when I could hardly speak. I was rendered useless for the whole week, unable to even attend online lectures... My lecturer has been kind enough to extend a deadline for a project which was due yesterday to next monday. Now I will have to muster up enough strength to sit in front of the computer screen and start typing away...

I am glad that all is over for now... I can finally get back to my work, a lot of things are out there waiting for me to complete. I have no time to waste. Down to work I must...

I will be getting a new ultraportable laptop (Most probably a Sony VAIO TR5 or a VAIO S18)today with the sale of my old laptop last wednesday (Thanks to my dad who took care of the transaction) I have only a week or so to finish all 3 projects in hand. Must start work and leave the miserable week behind...

No matter what misfortune befalls you today, tomorrow will be a better day, it will be...

Let not the ill luck of yesterday affect you today, look forward to every forthcoming minute and make the best use of them, lest you want to look back at times past and regret...

Pressure Cooker

Project deadlines are showing up like sores on my otherwise, neat schedules. Yes, they are just around the corner; 2-3 weeks to be exact. Decided to stay at home today to finish what I can; don't want to spend 2 hours on travelling, watching the lectures at home will be a much better option, for now. Exams are coming up too, its all a vicious cycle which happens every semester, to everyone. The sem starts on a rather slow pace for everyone; no one will mention anything about the dreaded project deadlines until after the mid term holidays. Its funny, seeing a dramatic change in the school atmosphere; people rushing to libraries to do research, lots of people in the study areas, its just cramped with people doing work! I am not excluded from this "cycle of life" though...

The pressure is building up, the pot's ready for cooking, what is integral now are the ingredients that I put into the pot; I hope the end product will be a delicious one... I really hope so.

Fun Saturday

It was birthday boys galore at Marina Square yesterday as Paul and his gang of friends (Including me of course) clamoured into a American Buffet Restaurant. It was quite a long wait before each and everyone arrived at the stipulated timing of 1830 Hrs. (Of course, we took a seat inside the restaurant while waiting for the people to arrive.)

Fine day it was for me; the saturday of Oct the 2nd... Had my economics midterm test before arriving for the treat by Paul and his friend, Danny. My mind's a blank now, slept late, woke up early (Which must be the case for Paul... Er... you ok? How's the bread treat?) Got to go down to Chinatown for our geography survey in the afternoon. Meanwhile, I will try to finish my museum report...

The only thing that we all have in equal is time; don't you agree? Nothing is fair other than the time which everyone has. The differences come about because of the different ways people use this universal time. Delay not what you should be doing, do not ponder too long on a question, solve it or leave it; our time should not be wasted on insignificant matters. All will pass eventually, in the annals of time; time can do wonders, with time, everything is possible... Everything...
