A Warm Winter...

The season of giving is here again and as always, the sweltering heat. Christmas holidays in Singapore feels exceptionally "normal" and similar to all the other days in the year. The only difference? The decors along the city area and shopping centres.

I have been to several places around Singapore in the last 4 days, recording each and every nook with my lens. The picture that I've taken above is from Mt. Faber, on a fine Thursday morning. The warmth of the sun began creeping onto the hill at early dawn, breaking the silence of the night. The water droplet siginifies the hope of a brand new day together with rays of hope from the sun.

A winter that is warm, warm with the love and concern of your loved ones; isn't that wonderful?

The Past, The Present & The Future...

The semester has threaded past with such blazing speeds that I am caught standing at the junctions, stunned yet again. Now, a quarter of the break has whisked by with little consolation of achievements as the new semester begins to beckon.

Everything is progressing with the advent of time, yet, there are certain nooks and cracks around that still fight to retain the splendor of times past; memories, places, people. There are some that simply refuse to change, albeit better or worse; not for us to judge, but for them to ponder. Nostalgia has always been a part of our lives, be it not for our rapid progression over time, it will not have been present. The interplay of the future, present and the past brings about feelings, emotions and intense thoughts which adds to the flavour of life.

Everyone progresses, knowingly or unknowingly; I am glad that a handful of my dearest friends and people I know retain yet some of the most beautiful parts of themselves, protecting them from the ravages of time. It has truly been wonderful knowing all those who have been striving to maintain the best parts of themselves in today's unforgiving world.

For that, I give you my deepest salutations.
