Music, Music and more Music?

Its been a Loooong while since the last update. Well, the filming's over and currently, everyone on the team is hard at work with editing and songwriting. I am in charge of the music direction of the film together with Lyon. Lyon's completed his song and we should be doing the recording over at my home anytime this week when he's completed the accompaniment parts. As for me, I will be coming up with jingles [ not entire songs... thankfully :) ] for parts of the film.

How is everyone doing? Its been some time since I last heard from any of you.

Been thinking a lot about the direction of my life these few weeks. Many thoughts have raced through my mind; some stayed while others simply left with the morning winds at daybreak. Revamping my life? Maybe...

Singing, yes, singing. After the last lesson on Saturday, I discovered that all that we've learnt for the past year has but been the elementary parts; that of handling and presenting songs for the sake of presenting them. A brand new chapter begins for my musical endeavours; not just me but for everyone at the school. We've realised out mistakes and its time to change them for the better.

How have you been doing? V-man, Paul, Gomz and all my other friends... doing fine and enjoying your hols? Do keep me posted! Call me out for a cup o' tea. I will be more than happy to accompany you.

Filming; Week 1...

Today's the first day of our filming sessions, everything did not go as planned or should I say, nothing was planned at all. As usual, our dear director and gang fumbled up with the settings, lightings, camera angles and what have you at the start of today's shoot. It was kinda rushed, this shooting, to meet the deadline at the end of july.

Although everything was done on the spot, admist the chaos, I experienced first hand the conditions of filming; a rather relaxed but stern atmosphere governed each and everyone at the scene. The respective people in charge of everything were all busy with their jobs, leaving but some of us with little or nothing to do except to sit or help when they uttered for aid.

I am supposed to be a backup camera-man and the asst. music director for the short film together with Lyon. Lots more things will have to be done if this shoot is going to go well and perhaps... win something? I'd rather look at the fact that this shoot is a learning experience for all, not one that would bag us a prize.

Hope everyone is doing well, I am busy for this week and perhaps, the whole of this month. However, there is still time if anyone wants to meet up for tea. Just ring me up, I will be glad to meet up with you! Enjoy your holidays!!
